Turn
of the 20th Century-1920's Bronze & Copper clad tray. In Bas-Relief, it features
three separate scenes with "NORFOLK, VA." molded in elegant script along
the bottom.
The first scene is titled "Bathers At Virginia Beach" with
figures… women in Victorian bathing dress & hat, men is vintage two-piece suits,
and children in hats… bathing, walking, & sunning themselves. The middle scene,
titled "Old And New Lighthouses, Cape Henry" features two different types
of lighthouses with cottages around their base. Water in the background with grassy
field in the foreground. The third scene, titled "Ocean View", features
buildings, possibly Hotel & what appears to be an amusement park in the background
with the boardwalk & benches. The scenes are separated with fancy scroll-work
and garlands. Surrounding the outer edge of the tray is a fruit & floral garland,

plated with both bronze & copper. The different metals are applied to accent
certain portions of each scene. The tray measures slightly less than 9" x 3
½". Marked on the back with the early "Made In Japan" stamp, but we
